Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Botanic Gardens, this playground has been recently upgraded into a highly engaging and well-designed play area. The main play structure that quickly catches children’s attention features both a green spiral tunnel slide and a straight metal slide, decorated with large leaf shapes where ladybirds can often be seen. Access to the slides is flexible, with options like direct stairways, rope-net bridges, or even climbing poles fitted with circular footholds.

For more active play, there’s plenty to explore: a long rope-style swing big enough to lie on, a large multi-person seesaw, a rotating carousel, a small bird’s-nest swing, two traditional swings, and a variety of spring riders including bee and bug designs, plus an oversized sandpit.

Around the playground you’ll also find interesting themed elements such as a goanna sculpture, an indigenous storytelling space, log balancing features, and a rather striking black spider sculpture hidden beneath a shaded tree—definitely memorable for some visitors.

Facilities are well catered for, with a large covered shelter containing tables, additional shaded seating under trees, and some open picnic tables as well. Amenities include drinking water, toilets, BBQ facilities, and wide grassy lawns. The Botanic Gardens itself is great for a stroll, with a deep pond located nearby.
