This is an outstanding all-abilities playground set beneath protective shade sails. As you wander through the space, you’ll discover a series of thoughtfully designed features, each more impressive than the last. The overall theme is coastal, anchored by a striking tall white lighthouse that rises above the playground. Inside it are spiral and tunnel slides accessed via internal steps, while the exterior offers additional challenges including a climbing wall, chain-net ladder, and a fireman’s pole.
At the base of the lighthouse, a dynamic climbing zone awaits, featuring log and stump stepping posts, a thick rope traverse, a horizontal hanging ladder, and classic monkey bars. Nearby, you can challenge yourself with a maze ball puzzle where you tilt and guide a small metal ball through intricate paths. Close by is a large inclusive spinning disc that takes real strength to rotate—perfect for a bit of a workout before or during play.
Further along, you’ll find a variety of interactive games such as “Tumble Ball” and “4 in a Row.” There’s also a multi-game activity station with seven interactive play pillars: press a central button and choose from different challenges. One example involves competing with a friend to tap illuminated poles as they flash in alternating blue and red patterns. Please note this feature switches off after dark.
For a nostalgic touch, there’s a traditional seesaw design featuring a wooden beam balanced on rubber tyre supports, evoking memories of classic playgrounds for many parents.
Adventure seekers can try the fast-moving, rocking Wave Rider speed boat ride—best approached with caution if you’re prone to motion sickness. Younger children have their own dedicated boat-themed play zone, complete with steering wheels, small steps, and a compact slide.
A charming fishing-themed area adds musical fun, where kids can “catch” sounds using fishing rods. A scenic wooden jetty winds through the playground, decorated with carved sea creatures along its posts, enhancing the maritime atmosphere.
The water play section includes hand pumps that send water into interconnected tables fitted with plugs and sluice gates, allowing children to control and redirect the flow. Another nearby water feature channels water through gates and pathways before reaching a brightly coloured tiled splash area.
Keep an eye out for the whimsical flying fish installation, fitted with playful interactive elements.
Around the perimeter of the playground, you’ll find a giant hamster wheel, an in-ground trampoline, and a table tennis area (bring your own equipment or purchase gear from nearby cafés such as Tour de Cafe and SunnyBoy Beach Club). There’s also a music play zone, a five-sided climbing frame, a swing set, and a separate structure with three rotating toddler swings.
Facilities within the playground include shaded picnic shelters with tables and BBQ facilities, additional covered and uncovered seating areas, and a drinking water tap. Public toilets and grassy open spaces are also available.
A couple of downsides to note: the wooden jetty can become slippery after rainfall, and parking is paid between 8am and 9pm daily, including public holidays. Enforcement is strict, and payment can be made via a 1-300 phone number or the EasyPark app.
